Job Summary/Description: KPLC-TV has a full-time opening for a News Operations Manager. This highly organized Newsroom Manager will interface with all other departments at KPLC including Engineering, Promotions, and Sales.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Maintaining on-air programming
- Manage equipment inventory including fleet of vehicles
- Train new employees on equipment (cameras, LiveU, laptops, etc.)
- Supervise Technical Media Producers
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and coordinate repair of news gathering equipment
- Maintain quality control of all news broadcast.
Qualifications/Requirements: - A degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or Management and at least 3 years of television experience is preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Work in high-stress situations
- Pass an MVR check
