Job Description

The Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing the Unit's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures, and initiatives. The individual may lead a team of QHSE professionals and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, promote a culture of safety, improve operational efficiency, and minimize environmental impact

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

QHSE Strategy and Leadership

• Develop and execute the QHSE strategy in alignment with the company's objectives and goals.
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the QHSE team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Engage with management to communicate the importance of QHSE and gain support for initiatives.

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

• Monitor and interpret QHSE regulations, ensuring compliance with Newrest, local, regional, and international standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and non-compliance issues.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and maintain all necessary permits and certifications.

Health and Safety

• Develop and implement comprehensive Health and Safety policies and programs.
• Assess and mitigate workplace hazards, and promote a safe working environment for everyone.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.

Quality Management

• Oversee the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Implement quality assurance processes, ensuring products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Facilitate internal and external quality audits and manage corrective actions.

Environmental Management

• Develop and implement environmentally sustainable practices to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
• Track and report on environmental performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Foster environmental awareness and responsibility across the organization.

Training and Development

• Conduct QHSE training programs to educate employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure proper training and competency assessment for QHSE team members.

Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and present QHSE performance reports to management and stakeholders.
• Analyze data to identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and develop action plans.
• Be diligent, punctual, and reliable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
