Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for an educator skilled in teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within a K-12 educational setting in Arlington, WA. This contract role spans the upcoming school year and involves providing vital consultation and direct instructional services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering tailored instructional support to a caseload of approximately 10 students.
• Conducting consultation sessions to aid classroom teachers and support staff in meeting the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners.
• Collaborating on individualized education plans to optimize student progress.
• Utilizing specialized strategies and communication methods appropriate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• Monitoring and documenting student growth and adapting interventions accordingly.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Certification or licensure in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education.
• Experience working with K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• Ability to provide both consultation and direct instructional services effectively.
• Strong communication skills, including proficiency in modalities suited to Deaf / Hard of Hearing students.
• Capacity to manage a consistent caseload of up to 10 students with up to 5 hours of service per week.
