Role: SAP EDI Specialist

Duration: 3 months (possible extension or become full-time)

Part-Time: It will start off 20 hours a week and then a chance to ramp up to 40 hours a week.

Job Description

• SAP Production Support
  • Manage day-to-day SAP incidents, service requests, and production issues.
  • Act as first line of defense to troubleshoot functional/technical problems.
  • Ensure system stability and quick resolution of issues impacting business users.
  • Free up internal lead resources for strategic work.
• EDI Onboarding & Integration
  • Troubleshoot EDI-related errors with trading partners and VANs (e.g., Orderful, SPS Commerce).
  • Validate and monitor inbound/outbound EDI transactions (810 Invoices, 850 Purchase Orders, 856 Advance Ship Notices, etc.).
  • Lead EDI partner onboarding including gathering requirements, mapping, integration testing, and supporting cutover/go-live.
  • Coordinate with external partners to ensure seamless document flow.
• ABAP Programming
  • Perform debugging for production issues.
  • Develop/maintain custom reports, enhancements, and interfaces.
  • Provide technical fixes in a timely manner to minimize business impact.

• Client Description:
  • SAP Production Support: Manage daily issues to enable Lei to focus on code reviews and new CPI development.
  • EDI Onboarding/Integration: Troubleshoot errors with partners/VANs (Orderful, SPS, etc), validate inbound/outbound transactions (810, 850, 856, etc.), and lead partner onboarding (requirements, mapping, testing, go-live).
  • ABAP Programming: Handle debugging, reports, and interfaces as needed.
  • BTP Support (Nice to have!): Maintain existing iFlows
  • This role is essentially to fill a gap for SAP S/4 HANA technical production support (not functional or business focused). Experience with SAP IDOC processing, ABAP programming / troubleshooting, EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, 810, etc.), and common middleware tools is essential.

  • 8+ years experience working within technical production support
  • Strong EDI onboarding/integration background
  • ABAP programming exp
