Job Description

A full-time School Psychologist position is available within a K-12 school district located near Upper Marlboro, MD, serving multiple schools across all grade levels. This contract assignment runs from August 18, 2025, through June 11, 2026, with a 35-hour workweek.

The ideal candidate will have a Maryland certification in School Psychology and a strong background in behavioral support, which is highly desirable. New graduates and out-of-state certified professionals are encouraged to apply. Onsite presence is required; however, for highly qualified candidates, hybrid arrangements may be considered, ensuring all student-centered responsibilities are fulfilled in person while maintaining availability for the assigned schools throughout the workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to inform educational planning
• Design and implement behavioral interventions and support strategies
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district policies

Qualifications:

• Maryland School Psychologist certification (or eligibility)
• Experience in providing school psychological services across all K-12 grade levels
• Behavioral expertise is a strong advantage
• Ability to work on-site with potential for hybrid schedule if qualified
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff

Location:

• Serving schools in areas near Upper Marlboro, MD, including communities approximately one hour from Baltimore and under one hour from Washington, D.C.
