Job Overview

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of crime victims? Join Regina's Safe Alliance (RSA) as a compassionate Victim Advocate. Our dedicated non-profit organization is committed to fostering emotional healing and wholeness for crime victims through trauma recovery and culturally sensitive practices.

Working under the supervision of our Clinical Director, you will be a source of encouragement and advocacy, ensuring that every victim feels heard and supported. Your insights will enhance our services and boost client satisfaction, helping us better serve victims of crime and violence in Georgia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This role involves advising victims about their rights and encouraging them to exercise those rights. You will assist victims in completing the online application for victim compensation and provide support in obtaining the necessary documentation. Additionally, you will offer non-crisis intervention support and respond to public inquiries regarding available services. You will also be responsible for collecting and documenting feedback from victims about their experiences with RSA's programs. Engaging with colleagues, victims, social service agencies, and the public to provide support and resolve issues is also a key part of this position.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving counseling skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a liaison with community and government organizations.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities
  • Team player and accountability to the Clinical director.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, criminal justice, or related field and equivalent life experience
  • Associate degree in social work, counseling, criminal justice, or related field and equivalent life experience.
  • At least one year's experience in crisis intervention or serving victims of violence is preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The position allows for remote work, with occasional travel required for in-person staff meetings, training, and community events. We are committed to providing all employees with a safe and supportive work environment.

Job Type: Part-time
