Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Manager of Quality Assurance that will be responsible for ensuring that all external and internal requirements are met before our products reach consumers. This position shall work as a partner with other departments to satisfy all product and plant needs.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance to customer and regulatory food safety plans, including USDA and FDA regulatory standards
• Maintain and initiate all recordkeeping and key performance indicators pertinent to the Quality department to include, but not limited to, food safety, sanitation, regulatory agencies, internal and external customers
• Daily monitor of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety for compliance
• Daily verification and documentation of each finished product label and respective information and data
• Perform environmental microbiological swabs and submittal to laboratory for analysis
• Obtain raw materials and finished products and submit for microbiological analysis
• Training of staff on quality/food safety related topics
• Conduct facility inspections/audits
• Consumer complaint management as needed
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications/Requirement:
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience with USDA FSIS, FDA and FDA Seafood processing and regulations
• Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with employees at all levels
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Capability to adapt within fast-changing environment and to be flexible as needed
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task within fast-paced working environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
